I'm a wood worker creating products that range from pens to fine cabinetry. All products are one of a kind and hand made from materials that range from locally sourced reclaimed urban wood to a wide range of exotics. I strive to match material to the form and produce something that lives up to the potential of each individual piece of wood.
I have always enjoyed working with wood and when I received my first lathe - a Steel City mini lathe as a gift from my wife... my fate was sealed. Since then I've added a larger lathe - a 1963 Wadkin Bursgreen that still runs like a charm and enables me to add larger wood turnings to my repertoire.
Not every attempt meets with success... the wood often has it's own surprises.
